Op vrijdag 25 september a.s. zullen Anneke van Giersbergen (Agua De Annique/ ex-The Gathering) en Danny Cavanagh (Anathema) in de Dynamokelder hun recent via Angelic Music verschenen gezamenlijke album "In Parallel" ten gehore komen brengen. Daarnaast zullen ze ook allebei nog eigen materiaal of dat van hun eigen bands ten gehore brengen.
Verwacht geen scheurende gitaren of moordende drumpartijen; Anneke en Danny zullen heel intiem en akoestisch hun album komen presenteren.
Voor degenen die de afgelopen jaren onder een steen hebben geleefd:
Anneke heeft samen met haar inmiddels ex-bandmakkers van The Gathering gezorgd dat metal in 1994 een nieuw gezicht heeft gekregen. Platen als Mandylion en Nighttime Birds overspoelden met doordachte metal met een vrouwelijk gezicht en stem Europa maar ook ver daarbuiten had de band
groot succes. De band heeft op elk noemenswaardig festival gestaan en Anneke vierde feest op het podium. In 2007 werd het tijd voor iets anders: Agua De Annique werd geboren en ook dit werd een groot succes in het Nederlandse clubcircuit.
Danny is de medeoprichter en gitarist van Anathema. Samen met zijn broers heeft de band zich ontwikkeld van zware Doom/Death Metal naar sferische rock die zich laat vergelijken met grootheden als Pink Floyd en Radiohead. Albums als Eternity en Alternative 4 mogen klassiekers
genoemd worden.
De deur gaat om 20.00 uur open en wees er snel bij om een kaartje te
halen. Het kan weleens heel hard gaan...
