Na slogans als Eindhoven De Gekste, Eindhoven Leading In Innovation, en Eindhoven Rockcity vonden wij het tijd om in plaats van Eindhoven in het licht te zetten, om juist de duistere kant van Rockcity te belichten. DARKNESS OVER LIGHTCITY is een nieuw fenomeen, voortgekomen uit diverse shows die Marcus Bondine (Deadcell) en Dynamo onder de voormalige naam "Dynamo Underground" hadden georganiseerd.

Underground is gebleken naar de vele bezoekers een succes en daar hoort een goede naam bij. Door de grote belangstelling van bezoekers maar ook acts en bands, vonden we het tijd om het concept maar eens groter en vooral duidelijker aan te pakken.
Darkness over lichtcity zal staan voor Gothic, Industrial, New Wave en alle subculturen die daar tegenaan hangen. Bands als The Deathstars, trekken zowel 80's vleermuizen, als emo-kids, en dat is nu precies waar Dynamo en Darkness over Lightcity voor staat. De avonden zullen telkens bezoekers op het verkeerde been zetten, naast een Gothband mag best een stevige metalband staan, en naast Cyber mag ook een Punkrock band op het podium staan.
De aankomende show staat al genoteerd, dat zal Gothminister zijn, check de agenda.
Darkness over Lighttown, zal in 2010 te volle in bloei komen, en daar pikken jullie de vruchten van. Voor de gene die niet snappen waar we het over hebben, hier wat bands, die bij ons op het verlanglijstje staan.
