OYM or Open Your Mind is an annual festival dedicated to creativity and artistry in social dance. The programme consists of parties, jams, workshops, battle and choreography competition!

After three previous editions in past seasons, this improvisational battle will be a familiar concept to many: a cross between a traditional street “dance battle” and improvisational theater. With every battle round, new surprising and refreshing elements are added. The most creative, ‘out of the box’ dancers from all over Europe come to Eindhoven to compete for the title of ‘Free Spirit’ and the honor of judging at the Open Your Mind edition in Russia.

>>>20 NOVEMBER- STAGE DAY CHOREOGRAPHY CONTEST
In this showcase competition, André Grekhov and Shailesh Bahoran (on behalf of Sample Culture and ISH) are seeking dance demos that are a shining example of creativity. These may be pieces from professional companies, but they may also be by students or amateurs. Dancers from all styles were allowed to participate, but only the most original and theatrical pieces were selected to perform on the stage this evening. A panel of experts will decide who gets the “Not Of This World” title, while the audience will decide who the “Crowd Favorite” is.
