OYM BATTLE
Registry: at the venue, no on-line registration needed.
The heart of Open Your Mind is the battle. The most creative and daring dancers gather from all over the world to enter the battles and challenges of the OYM. The grand prize is respect and payed trip to judge OYM RUSSIA 2018. This year we introduce extra prizes, we will reward the best improvisation of the evening and the best battle with hardcore cash and goodie bags.
The pre-selection will start at 17:00 and the top 16 will qualify for the main event. Expect a versatile selection of music and a set of creative challenges in the main event. OYM organisation believes the our event is suitable for any type and style of movement, so be free to come and enter!

OYM AFTERPARTY
Time: 22:30 – 01:30
Location: Pand P
Tickets: Free with OYM tickets, 5 euro for guests.

The best place to wind down after all the competitions. OYM afterparty is where magic happens, have a drink, do a dance. Only 5 minutes’ walk from Parktheater and free for everybody with a OYM ticket.

Two years ago we started to organise the OYM Stage to give space for the choreographic talent of the whole dance spectrum. The search for the most “Not of this world” productions is meant to stimulate dance crossovers, creativity and quality. There are virtually no guidelines to style, size of the team or use of objects or actors. The judges are all expert choreographers and will look for the most interesting and high-level piece to award with 1000 euro. The audience will also decide their favourite and all finalists will get an OYM recognition package.

To apply for entry please send an e-mail to: a.grekhov@dynamo-eindhoven.nl
send us the following information:
-Name of artist(s) + email and telephone number
-Name of the piece
-Short description of the concept, theme, etc
-Existing footage of the work. (trailers, work in progress, full footage)
-Maximum length of the show is 10 minutes
-Minimum of participants 1 maximum none.

-One team can apply a maximum of one production.
-There will be no spacing for the pre-selection
-There is no opportunity to set lights or stage props.

All entries will be selected by the artistic team of ISH and Sample Culture.
The final selection will be announced before the 1st of februari 2018. We very much advice to send us footage and links to footage to increase your chances of reaching the main event.

The artistic team is looking for maximum of 30 teams to enter the first round live on stage. The judges will then choose a selection of 8 teams who will enter the final in the evening. 8 teams will do the show again in the final to compete for the “Not of this world” and “Crowds favourite” awards.
