Op 24 februari organiseert Queer Art Club een embroidery workshop! Dit is de tweede workshop in een reeks van zes.

Workshop 2: Borduren

Borduren is het maken van versieringen met naald en garen op textiel, leer of andere ondergronden. Het is een kunst die al bestaat sinds de mensheid stoffen gebruikt. Over de hele wereld wordt naar schatting vanaf 3000 v.Chr. borduursels aangebracht op weefsels. En nu is het onze beurt om het te proberen! Samen gaan we aan de slag om afbeeldingen of woorden op stof te zetten. Je kan zelf een stuk kleding of stof meenemen om op te borduren of gebruik maken van onze materialen.

Voor wie
Zoals de meeste workshops van Dynamo, is ook deze workshopreeks gericht op jongeren tussen de 13 en 27 jaar. In de workshops wordt zowel Nederlands als Engels gesproken, om alle deelnemers welkom te kunnen heten. Er zijn maximaal 15 plaatsen beschikbaar dus wees er snel bij!

Queer Art club is een organisatie in Eindhoven voor creatieve Queer mensen. We organiseren maandelijkse workshops om een thema of techniek te onderzoeken en om samen nieuwe dingen uit te proberen. Het doel van de club is om queer mensen bij elkaar te brengen, creatief bezig te zijn, plezier hebben en zelfontwikkeling te stimuleren.

Queer Art club is an organisation in Eindhoven for creative queer people. We host monthly workshops where you can explore new techniques and themes and try new things together. The goal of our club is to bring queer people together, get creative, have fun and stimulate personal growth and exploration.

Workshop 2: Embroidery

Embroidery is the art of decorating material, primarily textile fabric, by means of a needle and thread. It is an ancient art form that has existed for as long as humans have used fabrics. Across the world there is evidence of embroidery dating back to around 3000 BC. So let’s try it! Together we will try our hand at this technique by embroidering simple images or words onto fabric. If you want you can bring a piece of fabric of clothing to work on, but we will have material available to work with.

For who

As with all workshops at Dynamo, our workshops will be aimed at people between the ages of 14 and 27. The workshops will be taught in both Dutch and English, in order to accommodate most people. There will be 15 spots available, so make sure to sign up in time!
